Virgo/Libra Cusp (September 19 to September 24)
If you were born between about September 19 and September 24, you fall within the range of the Virgo-Libra Cusp, also known as “The Cusp of Beauty.” Individuals born on this cusp are ruled by both Mercury and Venus — respectively, the planet of communication and the planet of love. Sounds like a pretty delightful combination, right? It is, indeed.
Beauty cuspers are balanced — with sensitivities to both their internal and external worlds — and they are deep thinkers who often are physically attractive, to boot. They are drawn to aesthetically pleasing people, objects, art and nature, and quick to keep up with the latest trends.
But not to worry if that sounds superficial – the Virgo influence balances the superficial stuff with a serious side that brings out sharp analytical skills and a strong work ethic. This is especially true of beauty cuspers as they grow older.
Is there a downside to any of this? Well, occasionally these cuspers pay such close attention to detail that they can become perfectionists. Also, being so balanced and able to see all sides of a situation can result in some slightly indecisive behavior.

Leo/Virgo Cusp (August 19 to August 24)
If you were born between about August 19 to August 24, you were born on the Cusp of Exposure— which isn’t nearly as naughty as it sounds.
In fact, these cuspers are more likely to be found working hard, arguing their position or studying a new intellectual pursuit than they are of playing around — but that doesn’t mean they aren’t any fun. They are just discriminating about where and when the fun should be had.
There’s a bit of conflicting energy to these souls that arises from the Leo need for drama and attention meeting Virgo’s more antisocial tendencies, so it’s not uncommon for the Leo-Virgo cusper to go to one extreme or another: Loud and direct, or silent and secretive.
If these creatures of fire and earth can find a cause to pursue that they believe in with all their heart, they’ll find a winning combination of passion and dedication that is sure to lead to great success.

Cusps
Some astrologers believe that individuals who were born near the beginning or the end of a Sun sign to be born on a cusp. Among those who believe in the existence of a cusp period, some feel that an individual who is born during such a period may be subject to minor effects of the Sun sign before or after this cusp period. This does not mean that a person has two Sun signs – you can only have ONE sun sign.
Some hold that the cusp periods are as follows:

Why Do The Dates For the Zodiac Signs Vary?
Your zodiac or astrological sign is the sign that the Sun was located in at the moment of your birth. As such, it is also known as a sun sign. You may have noticed that the start and finish dates for each Sun Sign can vary depending on which book or magazine or web page you happen to be reading. Well, the reason for this is that actual time and day the Sun crosses from one sign into another varies from year to year. For example, the sign of Virgo might begin at 9:20 pm on August 23rd one year, and the next year it may begin at 5:16 AM on August 24th. This variance is due to such factors as the Earth’s orbit and wobble, leap years, and time zone differences.
For individuals who were born on the day that the Sun changes signs, it may be necessary to have a natal chart done with your birth information (day, time & place of birth) in order to determine your correct Sun sign. Some Notable September 22nd Birthdays:

The September 22nd Personality - The Day of Restless Drive
Those born on September 22 have a restless drive to begin all sorts of new projects. Usually they bring the one they are working on to completion but immediately set out on a new one without rest. They are also capable of handling several projects at the same time. Those born on this day have a low boredom threshold, and consequently demand challenging people and situations. They can be outgoing and dynamic types at one time, and solitary and unapproachable at another. In either case, their strong character is unmistakable.
Whether in a broad social context or on a personal level, the issues and ideas those born on this day are most often concerned with involve fairness and equality—in general, matters pertaining to the delegation and exercise of power. In putting forth their arguments, they can be very ironic, witty and outright funny. Their humor, however, is not for everyone as it is liable to be off-beat, sardonic, perhaps even macabre.
September 22 people can be at risk when their restless nature brings them into conflict with the powers that be. Thus, they must be careful not to arouse enemies and antagonize their colleagues.
Those born on September 22 can hide a warm heart under a forbidding exterior, but generally will only open up to people whom they deeply trust and value. Even then they may find it difficult to open all the way, however, principally because their orientation is highly realistic and the ironies of life all too visible to them. This day, indeed, carries insight and clarity of vision both literal and figurative.
September 22 people are excellent judges of character, and capable of sizing people up very quickly. Those few friends whom they allow into their inner sanctum they value most highly, usually for life. Those born on this day can often have a greater effect on those around them than they realize, and indeed can register a high degree of shock value. Because of their often disturbing impact, they should seek to be more aware of their effect on others, both friends and foes alike.
